Much of our lives, we’ve been taught that negative thinking is destructive and harmful. The truth is that negative thinking, when harnessed, can be a powerful tool in our growth and development. Believing negative thoughts can paralyze you. Yet rejecting negative thoughts, arguing with them, or simply attempting to have a glowing positive thought in its place, is a rejection of a part of ourselves. By working with “negative” thinking we embrace ourselves more fully.
