There are a variety of issues that arise due to our ordinary, normal communication patterns that that can be resolved with Communications Counseling. Self-esteem, shame, guilt, worry and anxiety are all sourced in the way we talk to ourselves. Loneliness, lack of community, connection and intimacy are related to how we communicate with others. Emotions such as jealousy, hatred, anger, betrayal or envy are almost always rooted in communication.

A communications approach to helping people resolve difficulties in all areas of their lives. By replaying interactions that were difficult or painful, we heal and get more clarity about our relationships. By learning how to deal with issues as they arise we gain confidence and self-esteem. From how we talk to ourselves that causes us distress, to dealing more effectively with family members, intimate relationships, friends, co-workers, managers, customers, and subordinates, communication counseling can help.

A communications approach to resolving conflicts and deepening intimacy. Most difficulties couples experience can be traced back to communications that go awry. I help each party to express themselves authentically yet without any blame or criticism so the message is much easier to hear. When couples come back to a place of deeper understanding of each other, intimacy deepens, and practical problems become much easier to resolve.

In a group setting we can work on our own challenges that arise while also witnessing other people’s challenges while practicing and supporting each other in learning in a safe place with expert guidance.
